My name is Anne. I am the Mom of a teen and a toddler and I run story times for babies through preschoolers at the Newtown Library Company in Newtown, PA.
Itsy Bitsy Story Time
Wednesdays 10:30 a.m. (year round!)
Ages 0-3 with a grown-up
Children’s Area
Aimed at babies and toddlers ages 0-3 this “lap-sit” program is designed for participation with a grown-up. Each month is structured around a different theme. We keep the songs, finger-plays and games the same each week for the duration of the theme so that you can learn them and play them at home. We switch up the books every week. An optional, age appropriate craft is offered after we sing our goodbye song. The program is approximately 30 minutes long, not including the craft.
Wiggleworms Story Time
Wednesdays 1:00 p.m. (September through May)
Ages 3-6
West Reading Room
Wiggleworms Story Time is aimed at preschoolers ages 3-6. Grown ups (and younger siblings) are always welcome to participate. If your preschooler is comfortable participating independently then by all means feel free to have a seat in the library and enjoy a moment of peace or cuddle up in the Children’s Area with your baby or toddler and reads some books! Weekly themes include books, songs and games as well as an age-appropriate craft. The program is approximately 45 minutes long including the craft.
