Hello! This is my 100th post!
Woo-Hoo! Please join me in a little happy dance!
(I’d love to tell you I planned that…
but that is not how my summer is going…
let’s just call it a happy accident!)
Here are this week’s submissions for the
Flannel Friday Roundup!
Nikki at Hey There Library submitted her adorable version of Three Little Pigs – her ‘huff and puff’ bubble for the wolf is hilarious!
Monica from Ram Sam Storytime brings us her version of Five in the Bed – so cute and preschoolers get a huge kick out of this song-story!
Katie from Storytime Katie shows us how to make this awesome Finger Puppet Glove. I can’t wait to try this myself – I don’t have room for a flannel board in my baby/toddler Story Time and this looks like a great way to add flannels for this group.
Kathryn Fun with Friends at Story Time has made up a delightful Tea Party rhyme – so many different ways to use this great set, and bonus – a link to a cupcake rhyme as well. I love the emphasis on manners in this whole program and plan on
stealing borrowing this theme for my own preschool Story Time group.
OK, ready to see the cutest squashes EVER?!? Mrs. Todd at Librarian Less Ordinary shows us how to make these utterly delightful squashes (squeesh?) to go along with the equally delightful book Sophie’s Squash. Adorable and I always love a good crafty bargain story!
AND, last but not least, Jane at Piper Loves the Library describes her Common Ground Art-Smart program. In this particular post her group “Colorizes a Caldecott” using the much loved book Kitten’s First Full Moon by Kevin Henkes as a platform for literacy, communication and creativity. The artwork her kids created is simply amazing!
Thank you to everyone who submitted this week!
Coming Soon… to a Flannel Board near you…
Please join Sharon at Rain Makes Applesauce
on 8/15/14 for some flannel shark fun!
