Itsy Bitsy Animals!

Oops!  A little late – my apologies…. but here are the songs and rhymes we are using in Itsy Bitsy Story Time during JUNE!

Finger Rhyme:

Here’s a little puppy (one thumb up)
Here’s a kitty cat (other thumb up)
Puppy goes to sleep (rest first thumb on fist)
Curled up on his mat.
Kitty creeps up slowly (other thumb sneaks up on ‘sleeping puppy’)
Tickles puppy’s chin (‘kitty’ thumb tickles ‘puppy)
Puppy wakes up quickly (pop sleeping thumb up)
See the chase begin! (thumbs chase each other!)

Bouncing Rhyme: 5 Little Frogs

One little frog goes HOP!
Along comes another and they just can’t stop,
So, 2 little frogs go hop! hop!
Along comes another and they just can’t stop,
So, 3 little frogs go hop! hop! hop!
Along comes another and they just can’t stop,
So 4 little frogs go hop! hop! hop! hop!
Along comes another and they just can’t stop,
So 5 little frogs go hop! hop! hop! hop! hop!
Drop!
Time to stop!

Sign Language Rhyme: 5 Little Monkeys

5 little monkeys swinging in a tree,
Teasing Mr. Alligator,
Can’t catch me!
Along comes Mr. Alligator,
Mouth open wide, and…
SNAP! Goes another monkey deep inside.

4 little monkeys… etc.
