Here is the song:
What’s the weather? What’s the weather?
What’s the weather like today?
Tell us (name of child here) what’s the weather, what’s the weather like today?
Is it sunny, is it rainy is it cloudy out today?
Is it snowy? Is it windy? What’s the weather like today?

Here is the game:
I invited the kids up one at a time to spin the spinner and place the corresponding flannel piece on the board above our Groundhog. Then we decided together if the Groundhog would see his shadow or not and if that meant spring was on the way or winter was sticking around for a little longer. Everyone did a great job and of course they loved spinning the spinner and getting to touch the flannel pieces!
Thank you to Thrive After Three for hosting this week’s Flannel Friday Roundup!

Love you blog post today about Ground Hog’s Day. Have you read “Punxsutawney Phyllis” by Susanna Leonard Hill? Great story for kids. I met her through a large on-line writing group. You might want to check out her very active blog.
Thank you for the recommendation! I will check it out!

Wow that was strange. I just wrote an very long comment but after I clicked submit my comment didn’t show up.
Grrrr… well I’m not writing all that over again.
Anyways, just wanted to say fantastic blog!
Thanks – sorry you had technical issues!
When I initially commented I clicked the “Notify me when new comments are added” checkbox
and now each time a comment is added I get three e-mails with the same comment.
Is there any way you can remove me from that service?
Thanks a lot!
Sherrie – so sorry, let me try to figure that out!
